Zoom! teeth whitening is safe, effective and extremely quick – this procedure is carried out at dental practices only.
Zoom! is a teeth whitening system which removes tooth enamel and dentine discolouration. The duration of the full procedure is about an hour. It starts with quick preparation, followed by a maximum of 45 minutes of whitening.
How does Zoom work?
Hydrogen peroxide is an active ingredient of Zoom! whitening gel. This compound is dissolved under the effect of Zoom! light. Pure oxygen enters the enamel and dentine and whitens the discoloured area, leaving the structure of teeth unchanged. The specific nature of Zoom! light enables it to activate the hydrogen peroxide and cover the surface of teeth. Numerous studies have shown that the use of Zoom! light improves the efficiency of Zoom! gel by 26% at least, resulting in an average of 8 shades of teeth whitening.
How long do teeth remain white?
If you regularly maintain dental hygiene, your teeth will remain whiter than before undergoing whitening. Depending on your lifestyle (consumption of coffee, black tea, carbonated drinks and red wine, smoking, etc.), the procedure may need to be repeated in a few years should you wish to restore the tone of teeth you had immediately after whitening.
Are there any negative consequences to whitening?
In some patients, sensitivity may occur during treatment. Zoom! light leads to minimal heating, which is a common source of discomfort. In rare cases, the patient may feel slight tingling immediately following the treatment, but the sensation dissipates very quickly. The whitening gel comes together with the ACP gel (amorphous calcium phosphate), which is applied after the procedure to eliminate any patient discomfort.
Who can benefit from Zoom! teeth whitening?
Practically everyone. However, the treatment may not be equally effective for everyone. We will assess whether you qualify as a candidate for this treatment during your check-up and consultations.
Is Zoom! whitening safe?
Yes! Comprehensive research and clinical studies have shown that teeth whitening under the supervision of a dentist is perfectly safe. Zoom! has proven itself as the safest and most effective of all existing teeth whitening systems.
